Some people may wonder, why I am writing about Disney
Movies, when in a lot of my blogs, you can see that I have a
dislike for Disney. To be honest, even though at this moment
in time I feel like Disney is an evil coparation that only think
about the dollar, you have to admit that they do make some
wonderful movies, and having a daughter does not make it
any easier for me to byecot Disney all together.
But back to the article at hand, at the D23 Expo Disney has
announced ''Gigantic'' a new animated take on the British
Fairy tale ''Jack and the beanstalk''. The film will be directed
by ''tangled's'' (great film) Nathan Greno with music from
Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who penned the
songs in ''Frozen'', so I'm guessing we will get another
catchy song like ''Let It Go'' that I will have to listen to on
repeat for 1 million times (the joys of having a daughter).
Greno said that the movie will be set in Spain. ''Spain had
this age of discovery, the age of exploration''.
''It's not what you've seen before says Greno.
''It is a world of giants, we have different cultures, and
different kinds of giants''.
Greno also shared that one of the main giants, the co-lead
of the film along with Jack, is based on a young girl that the c
creative team mmet on a research trip to Spain. The
antagonist giants in the film are ''storm giants''.
Lopez and Anderson Lopez also spoke about their
contributions to the film, including a song where an eleven
year old giant plays with the tiiny Jack like a doll with a
refrain of ''I love you, little man''.
