‘Friday the 13th’ Shifts to 2017 in Hunt for New Writers

Earlier this year we learned that Brad Fuller of Platinum 

Dunes talked about his hopes for expanding Jason's Mythos

and taking the franchise back to Summer Camp on May 

13th of next year. Well that may be a little later than 

planned, we now may be looking at January 13, 2007.

let' just say we at GeeVision are just happy that it is still 

scheduled as opposed to being dropped off completely.

The reason been reported for the delay is that they have 

a little indecisive with the take on the old material. 

What we do know is that Paramount is taking fresh pitches 

from writers. This looks as if they will be probabley moving

away from ''Hannibal'' screenwriter Nick Antosca's

Chatter has also been reported that the movie may lose the

1980's period, which as a fan of 80's cheese is a little 

dissapointing, but as it's chatter I will take that with a pinch 

of salt.
