'Supergirl' Pilot Leaked: GeeVision's Review

After two days of debating on the matter of if we should or should not watch the leaked pilot for Supergirl we over at GeeVision decided on that we would, and this is what we thought of the Pilot for Supergirl.

Basically the pilot was just an extended version of the 6 minute trailer that we have all seen, because all the keypoints to the episode where already shown in the preview.

As it was a pilot we start by been introduced to a younger Kara Zor-El who is sent to earth to protect her cousin Kal El, but as she left her own planet, she got stuck in the phantomzone for 24 earth years, before she finally arrives to earth but on arrival she is still a 13 year old girl and Kal-el has grown into Superman. Superman comes and takes the young Kara to live with a family on earth that will protect her, and here we have a very nice placed callback to the past superman series and that is the father of the family to take care of Kara is none over then Dean Cain.

The pilot then jumps into the future, and we have a voice over of Kara who gives us the low down of her normal mundane life of been an assistant at a media company no heroics as of yet. We then are introduce to Winn who will likely turn into the love interest or should I say the will they or won't they story throughout the series. We also get to meet Kara's massive bitch of a boss played very well by Calista Flockhart, and we are then introduced to the new photographer at the company Jimmy Olsen, who seems suspicious that Kara looks a little like superman dum dum dum.

We then see Kara on a date and it's not going to well. When all of a sudden she see's on the news that a plane is in trouble and going down, not only this she knows that her sister is on that plane. But Kara has not used her powers in years. Kara AKA Supergirl saves the plane and the next day she is all over the news.

I will end my plot summary there as not to go into to many spoilers.

So what did we think?

I was impressed with the pilot it was better then I thought it was going to be, I mean it was a little rough around the edges, but then again it is a pilot. It also felt quite rushed, a lot was thrown in to 46 minutes, to try and tell the story and to introduce the characters.

Over all it was a good start to a not so promising show, and I can not wait to see how the show develops, but we over at GeeVision will let you know?
